The Problem
The School has a number of competitors for the professional and practitioner course portfolio. Other providers often charge less for these courses as they are private.
The Opportunity
Law fairs provide an opportunity to get in front of potential students face-to-face. They also give the School a presence against other universities and law firms across the country.
The Process
I worked with the Head of Postgraduate Portfolio to decide which law fairs should be attended in 2023. This was based on a report I had worked on in 2022, which gathered attendee data and data from the academics who were present at the events.
The School attended seven in-person and four virtual events throughout the Autumn term 2023. I managed these in their entirety, from ensuring there was academic cover for each event, to working with a logistics company to set up and take down the stand at each in-person event. I also liaised with the universities and event organisers to book and organise payment for the fairs.
A data collection form was set up with the CRM team to allow academics to collect data at the events. I created a follow-up email campaign to the warm leads we had gathered to provide further information on Nottingham Law School, with a CTA to book an open day or view the virtual tour.
The Outcome
The virtual events attracted 1112 attendees to the Nottingham Law School booth and workshops.
In total, data was gathered from 57 attendees. The average open rate for the follow-up emails was 68.75%.
